IMovie is Apple's video editing application that it makes available to all its customers from free. If your device did not update to macOS 11, you will not be able to install this update, like all previous ones since iMovie increased the minimum requirements. IMovie requires macOS 11.5.1 as long as we do not have the need to edit videos recorded in cinema mode. It also allows us to view and remove focus points on the video timeline.

In addition, it allows us focus on the faces and other objects that we select. Through iMovie, after installing this new update, we can use the Cinema control of the inspector to modify the intensity of the depth effect to adapt it to our needs or adjust it if the blur has not been implemented correctly as we wanted.

This new application has not only been updated to add support for new Macs, but it has also been updated to edit videos recorded with Cinema mode that has come from the hand of the iPhone 13 Pro, an edition that is only available on computers managed by macOS Monterey. After the introduction of the new MacBook Pro range with M1 Max and M1 Pro processors, the Cupertino-based company has updated the iMovie video editing application to be compatible with new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros that were presented yesterday.
